Protecting critical infrastructure<\/h1><\/div><\/div>[vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_separator color=”custom” accent_color=”#267586″][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”758″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” image_hovers=”false” css=”.vc_custom_1522237304434{background-position: center !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;background-size: contain !important;}”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]As part of the implementation of the “National Plan for the Protection of Information Infrastructures” (NPSI) adopted by the Federal Government in 2005, the BMI and the BSI developed the “KRITIS Implementation Plan” together with large German infrastructure companies and interest groups, all of which are highly dependent on IT systems. The BSI understands the term “critical information infrastructure” to mean the information and communication technology (ICT) sector as well as ICT-based infrastructures of other sectors.<\/p>\n

This Act requires Critical Infrastructure Operators to adequately secure the state-of-the-art IT required to provide their critical services.<\/p>\n

EMshield radiation-proof IT rooms meet maximum protection requirements against electromagnetic weapons (HPM\/EMP). They are based on electromagnetic shielding with a shielding attenuation of >100 dB from 10 MHz and assembled from sheet steel modules. Access is possible via blade contact doors (airlock doors), optionally with an electric motor drive.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]

Irradiation-proof IT rooms<\/h2>\n

Shielded cabins made of copper or sheet steel modules are used to meet the highest safety and electromagnetic shielding requirements. This guarantees shielding attenuation values of > 100 dB.<\/p>\n

The options for architectural design are clearly limited here. These cabins are implemented as a room within the room, which means that it is not possible to include windows. The choice of doors, wall and floor coverings is also limited. These systems are particularly widely used in high-security zones in the public administration sector.<\/p>\n
